Using the Guard-IE Settings/Control Panel
The GIE Settings/Control Panel allows you to configure the automatic removal of histories, cookies, and Temporary Internet files and provides access to the Cookie and Popup White Lists (i.e. lists of cookies and pop-ups to allow). The Control Panel also provides access to the script filters (to block drop-down ads, window re-sizing, and other such functions).

To open the GIE Settings/Control Panel, click the "Guard-IE" castle icon in the Guard-IE toolbar (see below) and then select "Settings."
 

The GIE Settings/Control Panel is then displayed; the top which is depicted in the image below:

The bottom of the control Panel always displays the following buttons:


 
  • Press the "F1" button to access this Help document.
    You can also click the "?" in the upper right of the window and then click any item on the Control Panel to bring up Help on that particular item.
     
  • Press "OK" to remove the Control Panel from view.
     
  • Press the "About" button to "activate" Guard-IE and determine which version of Guard-IE is installed.  This button is also used to purchase Guard-IE.
